Welcome to the Greater Manchester Tuberculosis Network website - a place for everybody and anybody with an interest in TB to share information, develop best practice and work effectively together to prevent and combat TB across Greater Manchester. The website has been developed by in collaboration between the Greater Manchester Health Protection Unit and NHS Bolton, who are the lead health organisation for TB services across Greater Manchester.

NICE launches an updated TB Care Pathway

A further draft of a practice manual for clinical and non-clinical professionals involved in the case management and review of suspected and confirmed TB patients has been published.

The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence has launched an updated TB Care Pathway covering all aspects of their TB clinical guidance.

Updated genotype cluster investigation handbook

TB genotyping is a laboratory-based approach used to analyse DNA that helps improve conventional contact investigation and allows the monitoring of progress towards eliminating TB transmission more accurately.
